Toothgems are a decorative accent for your smile, typically small Swarovski-style crystals available in various colors, shapes, and even playful designs (such as butterflies).

The application is completely painless and does not damage the tooth in any way. No enamel drilling is required — the crystal is simply “bonded” to the surface of the tooth, similar to how braces are attached. This bond is not permanent like with crowns or veneers. Instead, the adhesive gel gradually wears off over time, which is why reapplication may be needed. Durability ranges from 1 to 12 months, depending on factors like enamel texture, saliva acidity, oral hygiene, and dietary habits.

The design, color, and shape of the gem are chosen entirely based on the patient’s preferences, as well as the specific tooth or teeth on which it will be placed. When proper aftercare is followed, the reapplication warranty for the gem is 2 weeks. If desired, the gem can also be permanently fixed using dental cement, lasting for several years.
